Overview
SpaceX is hiring an RFIC Engineer for the Starshield team to develop next-generation RFICs for space and ground infrastructures. You'll work with advanced RF/analog/mixed-signal circuits and collaborate with system architects and engineers. This position requires experience in RFIC design and circuit development.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in RFIC design, with experience in developing RF/analog/mixed-signal circuits and systems. You are proficient in deriving specifications for RFIC subsystems and circuits, and you have hands-on experience with SiGe, GaAs, GaN, or CMOS processes. Your collaborative nature allows you to work effectively with system architects, modem/DSP, and ASIC engineers to partition functions between hardware and software domains.
You possess a solid understanding of IC floor planning and layout, and you take ownership of packaging prototypes, product development, and release to production. Your ability to iterate rapidly and solve complex problems aligns with the SpaceX mindset, and you thrive in a fast-paced environment focused on national security efforts.
What you'll do
As an RFIC Engineer on the Starshield team, you will design, simulate, and model advanced RF/analog/mixed-signal circuits and systems. You will derive specifications for RFIC subsystems and circuits, ensuring they meet the rigorous demands of deployment in space and ground infrastructures. Your role will involve developing analog/mixed-signal/RF/microwave circuits using various semiconductor processes, including SiGe, GaAs, GaN, or CMOS.
You will collaborate closely with system architects and other engineers to partition functions effectively between hardware and software domains, ensuring seamless integration and functionality. Additionally, you will perform IC floor planning and layout, taking ownership of the entire product development lifecycle from initial design to production release.
Your contributions will directly support U.S. National Security efforts, as you work on cutting-edge technologies that leverage SpaceX’s Starlink capabilities. You will be part of a highly collaborative team that values innovation and rapid iteration, allowing you to make a significant impact in the field of RFIC design.
What we offer
At SpaceX, you will be part of a mission-driven company focused on enabling human life on Mars. We offer a dynamic work environment where you can grow your skills and contribute to groundbreaking projects. You will have the opportunity to work with some of the brightest minds in the industry and be part of a team that is pushing the boundaries of technology.
We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement. Your passion for innovation and commitment to excellence are what we value most. Join us in our mission to explore the stars and make a difference in the world.
