Who you are

You are a motivated and proactive photonics design engineer with a strong background in developing next-generation photonic integrated circuits (PIC). You thrive in collaborative environments, working alongside world-class teams in systems, firmware, architecture, design, validation, and product engineering. Your intellectual curiosity drives you to explore innovative solutions that expand connectivity in previously underserved areas. You possess a deep understanding of silicon photonics and its applications in both space and terrestrial infrastructures.

You have experience in designing and testing photonic devices, ensuring they meet the rigorous standards required for deployment in space. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively allows you to collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams. You are committed to pushing the boundaries of technology to enable reliable and affordable connectivity solutions.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for developing cutting-edge photonic integrated circuits that will be deployed in SpaceX's Starlink satellite constellation and ground infrastructures. You will work closely with engineers from various disciplines to design, build, and test these advanced systems, ensuring they meet performance and reliability standards. Your contributions will directly impact the global reach of Starlink, providing fast and reliable internet to millions of users worldwide.
