You have a strong background in data development, particularly with kdb+ and Q, and understand the complexities of managing data for trading and research purposes. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with quants and technical teams to integrate and serve data effectively. Your experience includes designing and implementing data pipelines and frameworks that are robust and scalable, ensuring high availability during trading hours.
You possess excellent problem-solving skills and are comfortable troubleshooting complex data issues. Your operational experience allows you to provide level 2+ support during live trading, ensuring that services run smoothly and efficiently. You are committed to continuous learning and improvement, always seeking to enhance the data infrastructure and reduce technical debt.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and optimizing data pipelines and services using kdb+/Q. You will collaborate with portfolio managers to understand their data requirements and deliver tailored solutions that meet their needs. Your work will involve normalizing datasets to align with Squarepoint's core model of reality, ensuring that the data infrastructure is both reliable and efficient.
You will also engage with data operations and platform developers to enhance the overall data platform, focusing on reducing technical debt and improving performance.
