Who you are
You have a strategic mindset with a proven track record in B2B marketing, particularly in engaging and converting larger SMB merchants. With 7+ years of experience in marketing leadership roles, you've successfully built and scaled marketing functions that drive demand and brand presence. Your entrepreneurial spirit allows you to thrive in dynamic environments, and you have a deep understanding of modern marketing tactics that resonate with target audiences.
You excel in cross-functional collaboration, working closely with Sales, Product Marketing, and RevOps to align marketing strategies with business objectives. Your ability to translate growth objectives into actionable marketing campaigns is a key strength, and you are adept at refining customer profiles to ensure long-term retention. You are also skilled in developing messaging architectures that effectively communicate value propositions across various verticals.
Desirable
Experience in managing media spend and demand generation programs is a plus, as is familiarity with account-based marketing strategies. You are comfortable using data to inform decisions and optimize marketing efforts, ensuring that every campaign is aligned with the overall business strategy.
What you'll do
In this role, you will define and own the B2B go-to-market strategy, focusing on acquiring and growing larger SMB merchants. You will develop a unified marketing strategy that integrates paid media, brand, content, and lifecycle marketing, ensuring alignment with Sales and Customer Success teams. Your responsibilities will include building verticalized playbooks and narratives that resonate with merchants across industries, as well as developing a position in the market that clearly defines Squarespace's messaging.
You will lead the demand generation efforts, architecting a marketing function from the ground up that drives qualified pipeline and fuels outbound sales motions. This includes overseeing media spend and ensuring that marketing initiatives are effectively supporting sales objectives. You will also have the opportunity to build and lead your own team, shaping the future of B2B marketing at Squarespace.
