Who you are

You have 5+ years of backend engineering experience, particularly in building scalable systems that handle high volumes of data and requests. Your expertise includes designing and implementing backend services that support real-time decision-making and advertising technologies. You are proficient in programming languages such as Java and Python, and you have a solid understanding of cloud services like AWS, which you leverage to enhance system performance and reliability.

You are familiar with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes, which you use to streamline deployment processes and manage microservices architectures. Your experience with databases, particularly PostgreSQL, allows you to optimize data storage and retrieval for high-performance applications. You understand RESTful API design principles and have implemented APIs that facilitate seamless communication between services.

You possess strong analytical skills and are comfortable working with large datasets, using SQL to extract insights and drive improvements in system performance. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that backend solutions align with business objectives and user needs. You are passionate about leveraging technology to solve complex problems and drive user engagement.

Desirable

Experience with real-time bidding systems and programmatic advertising is a plus, as is familiarity with data engineering principles. You may also have exposure to machine learning algorithms that enhance user acquisition strategies. A background in mobile app development can further complement your skill set, enabling you to understand the unique challenges of mobile advertising.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and building the backend services that power StackAdapt's mobile app user acquisition campaigns. You will develop and optimize systems that ensure mobile marketers can effectively reach and engage new users at scale. Your work will involve implementing advanced algorithms and robust data infrastructure to support high-performance advertising solutions.

You will collaborate with product managers, data engineers, and other stakeholders to define system requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Your role will include writing clean, maintainable code and conducting code reviews to uphold best practices within the team. You will also monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise, ensuring that the backend services operate smoothly and efficiently.
