Who you are
You have over 2 years of experience in inside sales or account sales within the IT industry — you understand the nuances of engaging with executive-level clients and can navigate complex sales processes with ease. Your strong business development skills and strategic thinking enable you to identify opportunities and create effective sales strategies. You are data-driven, capable of running hypothesis testing cycles to refine your approach and improve outcomes. Your proficiency in Japanese at a business level allows you to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues alike.
Desirable
Experience in launching an inside sales department or being an early member of such a team is a plus. You have a background in field sales, which gives you a comprehensive understanding of the sales cycle. Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce and HubSpot is highly valued, as is practical experience with marketing automation tools.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing the inside sales strategy — this includes selecting target segments and designing approach methods such as BDR/SDR. You will create and nurture leads, ensuring that high-quality opportunities are handed off to field sales. Collaboration with field sales teams will be essential to improve conversion rates and drive revenue growth. You will also establish operational processes, including defining CRM usage rules and creating or improving talk scripts and email templates. As the first inside sales representative, you will prepare the organization for future growth by visualizing results, sharing knowledge, and laying the groundwork for future team expansion.
