Job Description
Who you are
You have strong engineering fundamentals and can build clean APIs, debug production issues, and optimize database queries. You understand when to refactor versus ship, and you're comfortable operating systems in production while participating in incident response as part of a team. You are fluent in English and can effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with Product and Design teams to shape the features based on insights from dogfooding and customer feedback. You are passionate about improving the reliability and usability of agent workflows, ensuring they connect seamlessly to external tools and behave correctly under various conditions.
What you'll do
As a Backend Engineer on the Agents team, you will build and ship new product features for Taktileβs AI agent platform, taking ownership of backend work from idea to production. You will collaborate on scope, implement features, test them, release them, and iterate based on real usage. Your role will involve improving how agents run and connect to external tools, ensuring workflows are reliable and user-friendly.
You will raise the quality bar by enhancing maintainability, clarity, and performance as the platform grows. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency of complex workflows in financial services, making a significant difference in how teams automate their processes. You will also write design documents, review pull requests, and occasionally join customer calls to gather feedback and insights.
