Who you are
You have a strong background in managing technical infrastructure, particularly in telecommunications or satellite operations. Your experience includes maintaining complex systems and ensuring their reliability and performance. You are detail-oriented and proactive in identifying potential issues before they arise, ensuring seamless operations in critical environments.
You possess excellent problem-solving skills and can work independently while also collaborating with various teams. Your communication skills allow you to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are committed to delivering high-quality service and support to customers, particularly in remote or underserved areas.
What you'll do
In this role, you will manage and maintain the Eastern Teleports infrastructure, which includes overseeing satellite gateways and ensuring their optimal performance. You will conduct daily checks and preventive maintenance on satellite systems, ensuring that all equipment is functioning correctly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will also include site and system programming, which requires a strong understanding of satellite communications technology.
You will work closely with teams to provide phone services to Northern communities in Nunavik, ensuring that these remote areas have reliable access to communication services. Your role will involve troubleshooting any issues that arise and implementing solutions to maintain service continuity. You will also be responsible for documenting maintenance activities and system changes, contributing to the overall knowledge base of the organization.
