Who you are
You are an entry-level Molecular Technologist with a strong interest in genomic sequencing and molecular biology. You have a foundational understanding of laboratory procedures and are eager to learn and grow in a clinical setting. You are detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high standards of quality in your work. You understand the importance of data integrity and are prepared to handle sensitive information responsibly. You are also willing to pursue continuing education in oncology or molecular biology to enhance your expertise.
What you'll do
In this role, you will work with a cutting-edge genomics workflow to provide high-quality data with rapid turnaround times in a clinical laboratory. You will perform routine testing, quality control, calibration, maintenance, and proficiency testing in accordance with current laboratory procedures. You will be responsible for performing complex molecular-based procedures with a high degree of quality and in accordance with established protocols. Your tasks will include nucleic acid extraction and DNA/RNA quantification using robotics and automated liquid handlers. You will also enter clinical patient data into the Laboratory Information Management system and ensure that laboratory equipment and workspaces are sterilized as assigned.
