You have a solid understanding of spacecraft proximity operations, rendezvous, and docking — your expertise allows you to navigate the complexities of GNC systems effectively. With experience in developing and implementing GNC software, you are well-versed in the entire GNC life cycle, from conceptual design to post-flight analysis.

Your background includes proficiency in MATLAB and Python, which you use to develop high-fidelity models and run simulations that analyze system performance. You are skilled in validating and verifying GNC software through various testing methods, including algorithm unit testing and Monte Carlo analysis.

You possess strong analytical skills and can perform multi-disciplinary spacecraft systems trades to enhance spacecraft performance and reliability. Your experience includes participating in the design of AOCS/GNC systems, ensuring that all safety-related aspects are thoroughly addressed.

You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working with cross-functional teams to advance complex work packages in GNC development. Your ability to communicate technical concepts clearly makes you an asset in any engineering environment.

What you'll do

In your role as a Senior Rendezvous and Docking GNC Engineer, you will participate in the design and implementation of GNC systems for the Nyx spacecraft. You will be responsible for developing GNC code and integrating it into the flight software, ensuring that all components function seamlessly together.

You will validate and verify your GNC software through rigorous testing methodologies, including hardware-in-the-loop testing. Your work will involve developing high-fidelity 6 degrees-of-freedom models to simulate and analyze system performance under various conditions.

You will also engage in design optimization and dispersion analysis to improve the overall reliability of the spacecraft. Your contributions will be critical in advancing the capabilities of the Nyx vehicle, which aims to revolutionize space travel.

Collaboration will be key in this role, as you will work closely with other engineers to specify, select, and model AOCS/GNC hardware. Your insights will help shape the future of modular and reusable space vehicles, making a significant impact on the industry.
