Job Description
Who you are
You have a solid understanding of spacecraft GNC concepts and applications, with experience in the design and implementation of GNC subsystems. Your background includes working on spacecraft and mission conceptual design, subsystem requirements development, and algorithm development. You are comfortable with software implementation and testing, and you have a keen interest in the lifecycle of GNC systems.
You possess strong analytical skills, enabling you to develop high-fidelity models and simulations to analyze system performance. Your experience includes performing design, optimization, and dispersion analysis, as well as conducting multi-disciplinary spacecraft systems trades to enhance performance and reliability. You are detail-oriented and have a passion for space exploration, which drives your commitment to excellence in your work.
What you'll do
As a GNC Engineer, you will participate in the design and implementation of the AOCS/GNC subsystem for a variety of spacecraft and missions, including LEO operations, reentry, and rendezvous and docking. Your responsibilities will include the design, synthesis, testing, implementation, verification, and validation of GNC algorithms. You will also implement GNC code into the flight software, ensuring that it meets the necessary performance standards.
You will develop high-fidelity six degrees of freedom models and simulations to analyze system performance, and you will perform design, optimization, and dispersion analysis to improve spacecraft capabilities. Your role will involve conducting multi-disciplinary spacecraft systems trades and investigations to enhance the performance and reliability of The Exploration Company's spacecraft. You will work closely with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure that all aspects of the GNC lifecycle are addressed effectively.
