Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in procurement engineering, particularly in the aerospace or propulsion systems sector. Your experience includes defining technical specifications and ensuring compliance with programmatic requirements. You excel in collaboration, working closely with various engineering teams to align on project goals and technical baselines.
You are adept at managing supplier relationships, ensuring that procurement processes are efficient and that suppliers meet technical and quality standards. Your communication skills allow you to effectively liaise between internal teams and external suppliers, fostering strong partnerships.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the procurement of valves for the Nyx orbital vehicle, focusing on bang bang valves, latching valves, and solenoid valves. You will define and maintain the technical baseline for these components, collaborating with system, avionics, vehicle design, and AIT teams to specify requirements and verification methods.
You will actively support engineering teams during the design and development phases, ensuring that valve interfaces are properly integrated into the overall vehicle architecture. Your role will involve following up on supplier activities, acting as the primary point of contact to ensure that all procurement activities align with project timelines and quality standards.
