Twilio is seeking a Senior Compensation Manager to design and manage compensation programs that attract and retain top technical talent. You'll partner with R&D teams and provide strategic advice on compensation philosophy. This role requires deep expertise in benchmarking and equity compensation.

Who you are
You have a strong background in compensation management, ideally with 5+ years of experience in high-growth tech environments. Your expertise in benchmarking and market trends allows you to provide valuable insights to leaders and HR Business Partners. You understand job architecture and equity compensation, and you are passionate about creating fair and transparent compensation programs that motivate and retain talent.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product, Design, and Data Science. Your ability to communicate complex compensation strategies clearly and effectively makes you a trusted advisor to stakeholders. You are detail-oriented and analytical, ensuring that compensation programs are not only competitive but also aligned with the company's overall goals.
Desirable
Experience with AI technologies in the hiring process is a plus, as is familiarity with compensation software tools. You are proactive in staying updated on industry trends and best practices, continuously seeking ways to improve compensation strategies.
What you'll do
In this role, you will design, implement, and manage compensation programs that attract, motivate, and retain top technical talent at Twilio. You will partner closely with the R&D organization to ensure that compensation strategies align with the company's goals and values. Your responsibilities will include guiding annual and mid-year compensation cycles, advising on leveling and job framework decisions, and providing insights on offers and negotiations.
You will analyze market data to benchmark compensation packages and ensure competitiveness. Collaborating with HR Business Partners, you will develop and communicate compensation philosophies that reflect Twilio's commitment to fairness and transparency. You will also play a key role in shaping the company's approach to equity compensation, ensuring that it aligns with industry standards and best practices.
Your strategic insights will help leaders make informed decisions about compensation, and you will provide training and resources to ensure that all stakeholders understand the compensation programs. You will also monitor the effectiveness of compensation strategies and make recommendations for improvements based on data analysis and feedback.
