You are well-versed in U.S. GAAP and have experience researching and interpreting accounting literature. This expertise allows you to develop clear accounting positions and technical memos that can be presented to senior management and external auditors. What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the accounting analysis and documentation for complex, non-recurring transactions such as acquisitions and divestitures. You will advise cross-functional partners on the accounting implications of business decisions, ensuring that Uber's accounting policies are consistently applied. Your responsibilities will include owning technical accounting workstreams for M&A integrations, which involves policy alignment and purchase accounting.

You will support the preparation of SEC filings, ensuring accurate disclosures for significant transactions. Additionally, you will oversee journal entries and the financial statement impacts of complex accounting areas, such as share-based compensation and leases. Your role will also involve driving audit readiness by preparing high-quality supporting documentation and coordinating with external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy.
