Who you are
You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or another quantitative field, and you bring at least 3 years of experience in data science, particularly in improving products and understanding user journeys. Your advanced SQL expertise allows you to extract insights from complex datasets, and you are proficient in Python or R, enabling you to design and run experiments effectively. You possess a deep analytical passion and a strong ability to communicate findings to cross-functional teams, ensuring that data-driven insights inform product decisions.
Desirable
Experience in the identity space or similar domains is a plus, as is familiarity with experimental design and A/B testing methodologies. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with product managers, engineers, and fellow scientists to shape the direction of identity products at Uber. Your understanding of user experience and your ability to dive deep into data will help you identify opportunities for improvement and drive strategic initiatives.
What you'll do
In this role, you will develop and monitor strategic metrics to understand the underlying drivers of user behavior within the identity space. You will design and run experiments to analyze the impact of product changes, ensuring that user signup, login, and account management flows are seamless and secure. Collaborating with product managers and other business leaders, you will make data-driven decisions that enhance the user experience. Your findings will be communicated to cross-functional peers and management, influencing the direction of identity strategy across Uber.
