What you'll do

In this role, you will lead a high-performing machine learning team focused on pricing and incentives within Uber's Mobility Marketplace. You will be responsible for building and scaling the team, attracting top talent, and refining team structures to optimize performance. Your leadership will guide ML modeling efforts, ensuring that your team effectively addresses large-scale applied machine learning challenges in forecasting and optimization.

You will collaborate closely with Data Science, Product, and Business teams to define and influence product strategy and roadmap. Your role will involve presenting team initiatives in leadership forums, effectively communicating your vision and representing engineering in strategic discussions. You will drive innovation by investigating open problems in marketplace optimization, ensuring that your team remains at the forefront of industry advancements.

Your responsibilities will also include translating strategy into execution, establishing practical quarterly OKRs that align with the company's objectives. You will drive operational excellence by setting metrics for product and engineering performance, ensuring that your team consistently meets and exceeds expectations.
