What you'll do

In this role, you will partner with Upwork's Chief Operating Officer and support teams across Customer Support, Trust & Safety, Payments, Legal, Infosec, and Communications. You will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that align with the company's objectives, ensuring that the workforce is equipped to meet the demands of a rapidly changing environment. You will lead initiatives related to talent acquisition, employee development, and performance management, working closely with department heads to identify and address their specific HR needs.

You will also play a key role in driving employee engagement and retention strategies, utilizing data to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives. Your insights will help shape the company's approach to talent management, ensuring that Upwork continues to attract and retain top talent in the industry. Additionally, you will provide guidance on organizational design and change management, helping teams navigate transitions smoothly and effectively.
