Security Engineer • Mid-Level

Who you are

You have a strong background in security engineering, with experience in scaling massive systems that are resilient and performant. You think in threat models, not just features, and have a keen understanding of security practices necessary for a multi-tenant platform. Your experience spans from Series B to F, giving you insights into the challenges and solutions in the tech landscape. You are proactive in identifying vulnerabilities and have a passion for building secure systems that protect user data. Bonus points if you've built your own startup, as this shows your entrepreneurial spirit and ability to innovate.

What you'll do

In your first 30 days, you will dive deep into our infrastructure through penetration tests and threat modeling, identifying potential vulnerabilities and areas for improvement. By the 60-day mark, you will be tasked with building and shipping a new service, such as WireGuard, to enhance our security posture. After 90 days, you will take ownership of security end-to-end, encompassing Application Security (AppSec), Information Security (InfoSec), IT Security (ITSec), and Infrastructure Security (InfraSec). Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that security is integrated into every aspect of our platform development. You will also be responsible for establishing best practices and guidelines for security across the organization, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
