Desirable
While not required, any prior experience in sales or customer-facing roles would be beneficial. A background in technology or an interest in cloud physical security solutions can also enhance your candidacy. You are adaptable and open to feedback, which will help you succeed in this role and prepare you for future opportunities within the company.
What you'll do
As a Sales Development Representative at Verkada, your primary responsibility will be to drive pipeline and generate new business opportunities for the Account Executive team. You will engage with potential customers, understand their needs, and effectively communicate how Verkada's integrated, AI-powered platform can enhance their security and operational efficiency. Your role will involve researching and identifying new leads, reaching out to prospects, and nurturing relationships to create a robust sales pipeline. You will also collaborate with the Marketing team to align on strategies that effectively target potential customers.
Throughout the 10-month program, you will receive training and mentorship to develop your sales skills. You will learn about Verkada's products and services, enabling you to articulate their value proposition clearly. Your success in this role could lead to a promotion to a Senior MDR/EDR position, where you will take on expanded responsibilities and an adjusted compensation plan. You will be part of a supportive team that values your contributions and encourages your professional growth.
