Who you are

You have 7–10+ years of experience in voice engineering, operations, or telecom infrastructure — you've designed and maintained complex voice systems that ensure high call quality and uptime. Your strong understanding of SIP stack architecture allows you to troubleshoot call setup and signaling issues effectively.

Hands-on experience with SBCs and policy servers is essential — you are familiar with Ribbon technology and understand how to optimize voice routing and QoS. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and secure service.

You enjoy the challenge of troubleshooting complex call flows and are comfortable participating in an on-call rotation to respond to high-severity incidents. Your proactive approach to operational excellence drives you to implement monitoring, alerting, and automation that enhances efficiency in voice operations.

Your ability to document processes and contribute to the continuous improvement of the voice environment sets you apart — you understand the importance of clear communication and knowledge sharing within your team.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design, operate, and enhance Vonage's global enterprise voice systems — your hands-on involvement will ensure that our carrier-grade voice infrastructure meets the highest standards of quality and reliability. You will support and maintain voice infrastructure, including SBCs, policy servers, and voice gateways, ensuring seamless communication for our clients.

Troubleshooting SIP signaling and call flow issues across global platforms will be a key responsibility — you will work closely with DevOps, Cloud, Network, and Security teams to ensure that service delivery is both reliable and secure. Your expertise will be crucial in responding to high-severity incidents and participating in an on-call rotation.

You will partner with vendors for platform updates and tuning, ensuring that our systems are always optimized for performance. Implementing and refining monitoring, alerting, and automation processes will be part of your daily tasks, as you strive to improve operational efficiency.

Contributing to the documentation and design of the voice environment will be essential — you will play a vital role in the continuous improvement of our systems, sharing your insights and experiences with your team.
