What you'll do

As a Data Scientist on the Large Model Evaluation team, you will develop novel metrics and sampling techniques to measure the driving trajectories generated by machine learning models. You will employ creative simulation strategies to assess the driving performance of generative AI models, ensuring that the Waymo Driver meets the highest standards of safety and reliability. Your role will involve identifying potential edge cases that could impact performance and providing insights that inform the deployment of these models in real-world scenarios. You will collaborate with engineers and researchers to refine evaluation methodologies and contribute to the overall advancement of Waymo's AI capabilities. Waymo offers a competitive salary range of $170,000 to $216,000 USD, along with eligibility for an annual bonus program and equity incentive plan.
