Job Description

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in data science, particularly in developing and deploying Machine Learning models that drive business outcomes. Your strong analytical skills enable you to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights that inform product decisions. You are proficient in Python and SQL, and you have a solid understanding of statistical analysis and data visualization techniques. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals. You are adaptable and open-minded, eager to learn and apply new technologies and methodologies in your work. You understand the importance of data integrity and are committed to maintaining high standards in your analyses.

Desirable

Experience in the autonomous driving or transportation industry is a plus, as is familiarity with optimization models and predictive analytics. Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP would be beneficial, as well as experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Looker.

What you'll do

In this role, you will partner with engineering, product, and data science teams to develop and implement Machine Learning models aimed at improving the efficiency of Waymoโ€™s Marketplace. You will apply these models to predict key metrics such as conversion rates, wait times, and retention, providing insights that will help shape product strategy. You will also work on optimization models to enhance the assignment of resources and improve operational efficiency. Your work will directly impact the scaling of Waymoโ€™s autonomous ride-hail service, contributing to the companyโ€™s mission of making transportation safer and more accessible. You will be involved in high-impact projects that require a deep understanding of data and its implications for business decisions. You will communicate your findings to stakeholders, ensuring that data-driven insights are integrated into the companyโ€™s strategic planning.

Waymo offers a competitive salary range of $196,000โ€”$248,000 USD, along with eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus program and equity incentive plan.
