Who you are

You have a strong background in data science with experience in developing and deploying statistical models — you've worked on optimizing processes and improving operational efficiency in a data-driven environment. Your proficiency in SQL and Python allows you to analyze complex datasets and derive actionable insights that drive business decisions.

You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working cross-functionally with engineering, product, and operations teams — your ability to communicate complex data findings in a clear and concise manner helps bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are curious and open-minded, always eager to adapt to new information and methodologies in the field of data science.

What you'll do

In this role, you will develop and deploy statistical models to determine optimal staffing levels, ensuring rapid response times to autonomous vehicle and rider inquiries while upholding Waymo's safety standards. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to design and implement optimization models for request prioritization and queuing, driving cutting-edge scalability in operations.

You will engage in high-impact projects that span across the company, from driving quality and operational efficiency to conducting market analysis and assessing rider satisfaction scores. Your contributions will directly influence how Waymo scales its autonomous driving technology and enhances user experience.

What we offer

Waymo provides a competitive salary range of $230,000—$292,000 USD, along with eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus program and equity incentive plan.
