Who you are
You have a strong background in strategic sourcing and supply chain management, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. Your expertise includes developing sourcing strategies for electronic components, and you are adept at negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships. You understand the importance of aligning sourcing strategies with technical roadmaps and business objectives, ensuring that all components meet quality and delivery standards.
You possess excellent negotiation skills, enabling you to drive supplier negotiations effectively. You are comfortable analyzing market intelligence and pricing strategies to secure the best possible agreements. Your ability to collaborate with engineering teams ensures that you can translate technical requirements into actionable sourcing strategies, making you a key player in the supply chain process.
What you'll do
In this role, you will design and execute multi-year sourcing strategies for key electrical commodities, including processors, memory, PMICs, PCBs, and wireless components. You will lead all aspects of supplier negotiations, ensuring that contracts reflect best-in-class cost, quality, and supply assurance. Your responsibilities will include conducting market analysis to inform sourcing decisions and collaborating closely with Waymo's engineering teams to align sourcing strategies with product development timelines.
You will also be responsible for managing supplier performance, ensuring that all components are delivered on time and function flawlessly within the autonomous driving system. Your role will involve regular communication with suppliers to address any issues that arise and to foster strong, collaborative relationships that support Waymo's mission.
What we offer
Waymo offers a competitive salary range of $196,000—$248,000 USD, along with eligibility for an annual bonus program and equity incentive plan. You will be part of a dynamic team that is at the forefront of autonomous driving technology, contributing to a mission that aims to improve mobility and save lives.
