Your ability to solve complex problems and your attention to detail ensure that the software you develop meets high standards of quality and reliability.

What you'll do
As a Staff Android Engineer at Waymo, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining Android components that power the in-car experience. You will collaborate with a team of engineers to design features that enhance the user interface, ensuring that it is intuitive and responsive. Your work will involve building features for the Pick Ups and Drop Offs (PUDO) experience and developing infotainment options that keep passengers engaged during their trips.
You will engage in cross-functional collaboration, working closely with UX/UI designers to ensure that the user interface aligns with the overall vision for the Waymo Driver. Your role will also involve communicating effectively with vehicle software engineers to integrate your components seamlessly into the existing systems.
In this hybrid position, you will report to an Engineering Manager and participate in team meetings to discuss project progress and share insights. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their careers.

Waymo provides a competitive salary range of $238,000—$302,000 USD, along with eligibility for an annual bonus program and equity incentive plan.
