What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining Android components that enhance the in-car experience for Waymo's autonomous vehicles. You will work on features that allow users to interact seamlessly with the vehicle, ensuring that the interface is intuitive and trustworthy. Collaborating with UX/UI designers, you will help design user flows that clearly communicate the vehicle's intentions and capabilities. You will also engage with vehicle software engineers to integrate your components with the broader software ecosystem, ensuring a cohesive user experience. Your work will involve testing and iterating on features based on user feedback, as well as monitoring performance to ensure reliability and responsiveness. You will participate in code reviews and contribute to the team's best practices, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
