Who you are
You have a Master's or PhD in deep learning, specializing in behavior and agent modeling or simulation. With over 3 years of experience, you are proficient in Python and have a strong background in modern deep learning frameworks, preferably JAX or TensorFlow 2, although PyTorch is acceptable. You are passionate about conducting applied research and developing innovative solutions in the field of autonomous driving.
Your experience includes designing compelling experiments that involve training and evaluating large deep learning models. You have a track record of presenting results to peers and leadership, showcasing your ability to communicate complex ideas effectively. You are detail-oriented and committed to writing high-quality code, unit tests, and documentation to support your research efforts.
Desirable
Experience in the autonomous driving sector or related fields is a plus. Familiarity with large-scale data processing and simulation environments will enhance your contributions to the team. You are eager to collaborate with other research teams within Alphabet, fostering an environment of innovation and knowledge sharing.
What you'll do
In this role, you will conduct applied foundation model research and development, focusing on enhancing the capabilities of the Waymo Driver. You will design and implement experiments that push the boundaries of current technology, evaluating the performance of large deep learning models in real-world scenarios. What we offer
Waymo offers a competitive salary range of $204,000 to $259,000 USD, along with eligibility for an annual bonus program and equity incentive plan.
