What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the development of end-to-end evaluation processes for machine learning models used in Waymo's autonomous driving systems — your work will directly influence the performance and safety of the Waymo Driver. You will collaborate with a creative team to build state-of-the-art Foundation Models that are integral to both onboard and offboard systems. Your responsibilities will include designing experiments, analyzing results, and iterating on model improvements based on evaluation outcomes.
You will also initiate and foster collaborations with other research teams within Alphabet, leveraging shared knowledge and resources to enhance the effectiveness of machine learning applications in autonomous driving. Your role will require you to stay updated on the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, ensuring that Waymo remains at the forefront of technology in the autonomous vehicle industry.

Waymo provides a competitive salary range of $238,000—$302,000 USD, along with eligibility for an annual bonus program and equity incentive plan.
