Who you are

You have a strong background in systems engineering, particularly in low voltage systems, and are comfortable working with OEM partners to define and implement system requirements. Your experience includes collaborating with cross-functional teams, including electrical, mechanical, and software engineers, to ensure seamless integration of systems into vehicle platforms. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

You are detail-oriented and have a solid understanding of vehicle platform architectures, including networks, infotainment systems, and motion controls. Your ability to analyze complex systems and identify potential issues before they arise is a key strength. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with diverse teams to achieve common goals.

What you'll do

In this role, you will work closely with the Waymo Product team and OEM partners to define and document requirements for low voltage systems and interfaces. You will be responsible for writing detailed specifications that guide the integration of these systems into various vehicle platforms. Your role will involve coordinating with functional systems engineers to ensure that all aspects of the low voltage systems are considered and addressed.

You will also participate in design reviews and provide feedback on system architecture and integration strategies. Your expertise will be crucial in troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during the development and implementation phases. Additionally, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and methodologies within the engineering team, helping to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the systems engineering function.

What we offer

Waymo offers a competitive salary range of $196,000—$248,000 USD, along with participation in a discretionary annual bonus program and equity incentive plan.
