Who you are
You are a translator with native-level fluency in Japanese and experience in translating patents from English into Japanese. You have a strong understanding of biochemistry, IT, and mechanics, allowing you to convey original meanings in a readable and understandable manner for the target audience. Your expertise in these fields enables you to handle complex terminology and ensure accuracy in translations.
You are detail-oriented and committed to maintaining the integrity of the original text while making it accessible to Japanese readers. Your ability to manage a high volume of work, translating over 5,000 words per week, demonstrates your efficiency and dedication to meeting project deadlines. You are comfortable working remotely and can start as soon as possible.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for translating patent documents related to biology, chemistry, pharmacy, IT, and mechanics from English into Japanese. You will ensure that the translations are not only accurate but also convey the original meaning in a way that is clear and understandable to the target audience. Your work will contribute to a patent translation project that requires precision and expertise in technical language.
You will collaborate with other translators and project managers to ensure consistency and quality across all translations. Your ability to work independently and manage your time effectively will be crucial as you handle multiple translation tasks simultaneously. You will also be expected to provide feedback on translation tools and processes to improve efficiency and quality in future projects.
