As a leader, you excel in mentoring and developing engineers — you provide regular performance feedback and foster a culture of innovation and teamwork. You believe in creating a positive work environment where all team members feel valued and empowered to contribute their best work.

You possess strong collaboration skills, working closely with cross-functional teams across Product, Software, Legal, and Compliance — you understand the nuances of aligning technical and business goals to achieve success. Your ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders ensures that security considerations are integrated into the product development lifecycle.

What you'll do

In this role, you will build and lead multiple teams responsible for implementing secure development practices and managing product-facing security programs. You will drive the development of scalable security solutions that protect the privacy of WHOOP's members. Your leadership will be critical in ensuring that the organization maintains HIPAA compliance across its products and infrastructure.

You will collaborate with various teams to identify security risks and implement strategies to mitigate them — your technical expertise will guide the team in adopting best practices for secure coding and vulnerability management. You will also oversee the development of security training programs for engineers, ensuring that security is a shared responsibility across the organization.

As a Senior Software Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for promoting a culture of continuous learning and psychological safety within your teams — you will encourage innovation and experimentation while maintaining a focus on security and compliance.
