Who you are
You are an experienced engineer with a strong background in aerospace and defense, bringing at least 5 years of relevant experience to the table. You possess a unique blend of technical expertise and customer engagement skills, allowing you to effectively communicate complex engineering concepts to clients and stakeholders. Your charisma and ability to build relationships make you a key player in driving account growth and retention. You are proactive in identifying potential manufacturing challenges and have a keen understanding of design for manufacturability (DFM) principles. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with Account Executives and other team members to ensure alignment with customer projects and initiatives.
You have a sincere enthusiasm for the aerospace industry and are eager to contribute to innovative solutions that meet the needs of Fortune 1000 companies. Your digital fluency enables you to navigate Xometry’s digital marketplace effectively, ensuring that both manufacturers and buyers can connect seamlessly. You are committed to continuous learning and staying informed about industry trends and advancements, which enhances your ability to provide valuable insights to clients.
What you'll do
In this role, you will partner with Account Executives to drive account growth and retention, leveraging your engineering expertise to support sales efforts. You will engage with customers to understand their needs and challenges, providing tailored solutions that align with their projects. Your responsibilities will include conducting onsite visits with customers to foster relationships and gather feedback on their experiences with Xometry’s services. You will proactively identify and address potential manufacturing challenges, ensuring that projects are executed smoothly and efficiently.
You will stay informed about upcoming customer projects and initiatives, allowing you to anticipate needs and align resources accordingly. Your role will also involve sharing knowledge and insights gained from your interactions with the aerospace and defense engineering community, contributing to the continuous improvement of Xometry’s offerings. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales and Operations, to ensure that customer expectations are met and exceeded. Your contributions will play a critical role in shaping the future of digital manufacturing at Xometry.
