Who you are
You have a proven track record in sales leadership, particularly within the defense sector, with at least 5 years of experience managing high-performing sales teams. Your strategic mindset allows you to identify security gaps and develop tailored solutions for Department of Defense clients, ensuring their missions are supported effectively. You thrive in a 'player-coach' role, balancing team leadership with personal sales responsibilities, and you possess excellent communication skills to engage with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
You are passionate about security technology and understand the unique challenges faced by government agencies. Your ability to mentor and develop your team is complemented by your hands-on approach to sales, where you actively participate in high-level sales cycles. You are adept at building relationships with key decision-makers and navigating complex procurement processes.
Desirable
Experience with hardware authentication security keys or similar technologies is a plus. Familiarity with government contracting and compliance requirements will enhance your ability to succeed in this role. You are a collaborative leader who values diversity and inclusion, contributing to a positive company culture.
What you'll do
In this role, you will develop and execute sales strategies tailored to the Department of Defense, ensuring alignment with Yubico's mission to provide secure login solutions. You will lead a team of account executives, providing mentorship and guidance to help them achieve their sales targets. Your responsibilities will include identifying potential clients, understanding their security needs, and presenting Yubico's innovative solutions to address those needs.
You will oversee the sales process from initial contact through to closing, actively engaging in high-level negotiations and ensuring that your team is equipped with the necessary resources and training. Regularly analyzing sales performance metrics will be crucial to refining strategies and achieving growth objectives. You will collaborate closely with marketing and product teams to ensure that customer feedback informs product development and positioning.
Your role will also involve representing Yubico at industry events and conferences, enhancing the company's visibility and reputation within the defense sector. You will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with existing clients while continuously seeking new business opportunities.
