Who you are
You have a proven track record in sales, particularly in managing and nurturing corporate accounts. With at least 5 years of experience, you excel in developing relationships and implementing strategies that drive revenue growth. You understand the importance of a balanced approach between new business development and account management, ensuring that you meet and exceed quarterly revenue targets.
Your experience includes working with large enterprises, where you have successfully driven recurring revenue through long-term contracts. You are adept at prospecting new organizations and conducting needs analyses to propose suitable solutions that align with client goals. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with a wider sales team to achieve shared revenue objectives.
You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to establish great relationships with clients and stakeholders. You are motivated by a mission-driven environment and are passionate about making a positive impact through education. You are results-oriented, with a focus on delivering annual booked revenue based on allocated targets.
Desirable
Experience in the education sector or with online learning platforms is a plus. Familiarity with sales tools and CRM systems will enhance your ability to manage accounts effectively. You are comfortable with transactional sales and have a strategic mindset to build a robust pipeline across multiple product lines.
What you'll do
As a Senior Account Executive at 2U, you will own all aspects of the sales cycle, from prospecting new organizations to closing deals. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of 20 to 40 corporate accounts, focusing on driving year-on-year revenue growth through strategic account management. Your role will involve a high outreach strategy, where you will engage with potential clients to understand their needs and propose tailored solutions.
You will collaborate with the enterprise sales team to develop and implement account-specific strategies that meet the needs of your clients. Your focus will be on driving 12 to 24-month contracts, ensuring that you build strong relationships that lead to recurring revenue. You will also be tasked with building out a robust pipeline to grow revenue across multiple product lines, leveraging your expertise in enterprise sales to identify opportunities for expansion.
In this role, you will be expected to deliver annual booked revenue based on your allocated quarterly revenue target. You will engage in both transactional sales and contracts, ensuring a balanced approach that maximizes revenue potential. Your ability to nurture and develop relationships with corporate clients will be key to your success, as you work to establish 2U as a trusted partner in their educational journey.
