Who you are

You have extensive experience in supplier development management, focusing on enhancing collaboration with suppliers to ensure stable product development. Your expertise includes managing quality assurance activities during the development phase, particularly APQP, and you are adept at handling supplier management tasks during mass production, including quality improvements and regular inspections. You possess a strong analytical mindset, allowing you to identify and execute improvement opportunities across various metrics such as quality, productivity, efficiency, and cost.

Your understanding of relevant regulations and industry standards enables you to support suppliers in complying with necessary regulations. You have experience in managing SMT and assembly/testing processes for electronic suppliers, which is crucial for the role. Your ability to communicate effectively in English with global suppliers is a key asset, and any additional language skills, such as Chinese, are a plus.

Desirable

You have a comprehensive understanding of sub-components like semiconductors, PCBs, and various mechanical parts, which enhances your ability to manage supplier relationships effectively. Holding VDA 6.3 / 6.5 qualifications is preferred, showcasing your commitment to quality management standards.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead supplier development initiatives, focusing on improving collaboration and ensuring that quality, performance, and cost metrics are met. You will manage APQP quality assurance activities, including gate review processes and deliverable management, ensuring that suppliers adhere to the highest standards throughout the development phase. During mass production, you will oversee supplier management tasks, implementing quality improvements and conducting regular inspections to maintain product integrity.

Your responsibilities will also include analyzing various metrics to uncover improvement opportunities and executing strategies to enhance supplier performance. You will work closely with suppliers to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards, providing guidance and support as needed. Your role will involve regular communication with global suppliers, facilitating effective collaboration and problem-solving.
