Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in electronic design and lifecycle management, with a focus on Electronic Design Automation (EDA) and PCB ECAD Library/component management. Your experience includes managing supply chain data and understanding industry trends that drive product development. You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, and you are knowledgeable about the PCB industry.
You excel at building long-term relationships with partners and customers, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills. Your analytical mindset allows you to conduct thorough research to identify new markets and customer needs, ensuring that you stay ahead of industry trends. You are comfortable coordinating with various teams, including marketing, development, QA, support, and sales, to ensure successful product integration.
What you'll do
As a Business Development Manager at Altium, you will partner with semiconductor manufacturers, electronic component distributors, PCB manufacturers, and PCBA/SMT manufacturers to identify key industry trends and opportunities for EDA and Cloud product development. You will be responsible for building and maintaining long-term relationships with new and existing partners in the PCB industry, ensuring that Altium remains a leader in the market.
Your role will involve conducting research to identify new markets and customer needs, which will inform product development and marketing strategies. You will manage the electronic CAD component library development team and oversee release management processes to ensure timely and effective product launches. Additionally, you will coordinate efforts across marketing, development, QA, support, and sales teams to facilitate product integration and provide support during product launches.
