Who you are
You have a strong background in business development, particularly within the Private Equity ecosystem, and possess the ability to influence decision-making at the highest levels. Your technical insight into cloud computing, especially Amazon Web Services, allows you to effectively communicate with both business leaders and technical teams. You are adept at building and managing relationships, demonstrating a keen sense of ownership and drive to establish Amazon as a leader in the cloud space.
With 5+ years of experience in business development or a related field, you have a proven track record of successfully engaging with CxO and VP-level stakeholders. Your analytical mindset enables you to think strategically about business challenges and opportunities, allowing you to craft compelling value propositions that resonate with potential clients. You thrive in collaborative environments, working cross-organizationally to build consensus and drive initiatives forward.
Desirable
Experience in the cloud computing industry or with technology solutions is a plus, as is familiarity with the Private Equity landscape. You are comfortable navigating complex business environments and have a strong understanding of the technical aspects of cloud infrastructure. Your ability to convey technical concepts in a business context sets you apart as a candidate who can bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for managing relationships with Private Equity firms and their portfolio companies, driving the adoption of AWS as their preferred cloud infrastructure. You will identify key PE firms to target and develop strategic relationships that lead to new business opportunities. Collaborating closely with the AWS sales team, you will engage with portfolio companies to understand their needs and position AWS solutions effectively.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include conducting market research to identify potential clients, developing tailored engagement strategies, and presenting AWS solutions to decision-makers. You will work to build long-term partnerships that not only drive immediate business but also establish a foundation for future growth. Your ability to think analytically will help you assess market trends and adapt strategies accordingly, ensuring that Amazon remains competitive in the cloud computing space.
