You are an entry-level Engineering Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems. You have hands-on experience troubleshooting complex equipment and are eager to learn about data center operations. Desirable
Experience with diesel generators and three-phase electrical systems is a plus. Familiarity with cooling systems and UPS technology will help you excel in this role. You are open to learning new technologies and methodologies that enhance operational efficiency.
What you'll do
As an Engineering Operations Technician at Amazon, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the electrical and mechanical systems that support our data centers. You will work with stand-by diesel generators, switch gear, UPSs, PDUs, and various cooling systems to ensure optimal performance. Your role will involve conducting regular inspections, performing preventive maintenance, and responding to equipment failures to minimize downtime. You will collaborate with other technicians and engineers to implement best practices and improve operational processes. Your contributions will directly impact the reliability of our services, ensuring that customers have uninterrupted access to the cloud.
You will also participate in training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge in data center operations. This includes learning about AWS infrastructure services and the technologies that power our global network. You will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects that challenge your technical abilities and expand your expertise.
