You are an Engineering Operations Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems — you thrive in hands-on environments and enjoy troubleshooting complex equipment. Your expertise in maintaining mission-critical technology infrastructure ensures that operations run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to an extraordinary 99.999% uptime. You are detail-oriented and have a passion for technology, making you an essential part of the team that keeps the digital world running.
You have experience working with various electrical systems, including three-phase electrical systems, switch gear, UPSs, and PDUs — your knowledge extends to stand-by diesel generators and related fuel systems. You understand the importance of maintaining cooling systems such as CRAC units, centrifugal chillers, and cooling towers, ensuring that all equipment operates at peak performance. Your ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly is crucial in a fast-paced environment like a data center.
What you'll do
As an Engineering Operations Technician at Amazon, you will be responsible for maintaining and operating Data Center Operations' Mission Critical Facilities — this includes hands-on troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical equipment. You will work closely with a diverse team of engineers and specialists to ensure that all systems are functioning optimally. Your role will involve monitoring equipment performance, conducting routine maintenance, and implementing improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
You will be the front line of support for any technical issues that arise, utilizing your skills to diagnose problems and implement solutions swiftly. Your contributions will directly impact the reliability of AWS infrastructure services, supporting all AWS data centers and ensuring that customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.
