You are an Engineering Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems — you thrive in hands-on environments where you can troubleshoot and maintain critical infrastructure. Your experience includes working with diesel generators, three-phase electrical systems, and various cooling systems, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. You understand the importance of uptime in data centers and are committed to maintaining high standards of operational excellence. You are a problem solver who enjoys tackling complex challenges and collaborating with a diverse team of engineers and specialists.

Desirable

Experience with AWS infrastructure is a plus, as is familiarity with data center operations. You may have certifications or training in electrical or mechanical engineering, which will enhance your ability to contribute effectively to the team. A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn will set you apart in this role.

What you'll do

As an Engineering Operations Technician at Amazon, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting mission-critical facilities. Your day-to-day tasks will include operating and maintaining stand-by diesel generators, UPS systems, and cooling equipment such as centrifugal chillers and air handlers. You will work closely with other technicians and engineers to ensure that all systems are functioning optimally, contributing to the overall reliability of AWS data centers. You will also participate in routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks, documenting your findings and actions to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

You will be part of a team that supports the design, planning, and operation of AWS global infrastructure — your role is crucial in keeping the cloud running smoothly. You will engage in continuous learning and development opportunities, enhancing your skills in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
