You are a hands-on technician with a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems, ready to tackle the challenges of maintaining mission-critical technology infrastructure. You understand the importance of uptime and are committed to ensuring seamless operations that power global digital experiences. Your expertise in troubleshooting and maintaining equipment will be crucial in supporting Amazon's data center operations.
You have experience working with diesel generators, three-phase electrical systems, and cooling equipment, which allows you to effectively manage the various components that keep data centers running smoothly. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working alongside a diverse team of engineers and specialists to solve complex problems and improve operational efficiency.
What you'll do
As a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting critical systems within the data center. This includes working with stand-by diesel generators, UPS systems, and various electrical components to ensure they operate at peak performance. You will also be involved in monitoring and maintaining cooling systems, including centrifugal chillers and air handlers, to support the overall infrastructure.
Your role will require you to respond to equipment alarms and perform routine maintenance to prevent downtime. You will collaborate with other technicians and engineers to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that enhance operational reliability. Additionally, you will participate in training and development opportunities to expand your technical skills and knowledge of AWS infrastructure services.
