Hardware Engineer • Senior

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in hardware engineering, specifically in designing high-speed digital and RF circuitry. Your background includes working collaboratively with various teams to optimize electronic sub-systems and ensure robust designs. You are proficient in schematic capture and PCB layout, and you have a strong understanding of DC/DC power supply design and Point of Load requirements. Your experience includes supporting the transition of designs to mass production and developing test plans and procedures to validate hardware performance.

You are detail-oriented and have a proven track record of leading hardware validation efforts, presenting your designs to senior leadership, and supporting factory teams in debugging issues. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to contribute to innovative hardware architectures that enhance broadband access for underserved communities.

Desirable

Experience with automated test systems and factory testing processes is a plus. Familiarity with satellite communication technologies and a passion for closing the digital divide will set you apart.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for developing innovative customer terminal hardware architectures in collaboration with partner teams. You will generate and review schematics, guiding board layout through the manufacturing process. As the electrical engineering hardware single-threaded owner, you will support integrated product teams and lead hardware validation for your designs. You will also present your work to Director-level leadership, ensuring alignment with project goals.

Your responsibilities will include supporting the factory team by helping to debug issues on the production line and addressing any open concerns. You will engage in board bring-up activities and perform test campaigns of modules and subsystems, ensuring that all designs meet the required specifications and performance standards. Your role will be pivotal in the transition of designs to mass production, contributing to the overall success of the Amazon LEO initiative.
