Who you are
You are an aspiring IT Engineer eager to join Amazon's Rapid Asset Deployment (RAD) team, which is dedicated to providing the most customer-centric IT solutions. You have a foundational understanding of IT systems and are ready to expand your technical abilities in a supportive environment. You are detail-oriented and capable of managing IT assets effectively, ensuring that equipment is deployed and maintained to meet operational needs.
You possess a basic knowledge of IT equipment, including PCs and networking devices, and are enthusiastic about learning more about asset management and procurement processes. What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for managing IT assets used in Amazon's fulfillment centers across Japan. Your duties will include overseeing the purchasing of IT devices and services, managing budgets, and engaging with vendors. You will handle the allocation and maintenance of IT equipment, including check-in/check-out processes, inventory control, and device break/fix tasks. You will also be involved in the control of the RMA process and the deployment of various devices such as PCs, scanners, servers, switches, routers, and firewalls.
You will lead peer members in the team, ensuring that everyone adheres to Amazon's operational standards. Your role will also involve supporting various IT projects, including preparations for new fulfillment center launches and standardization initiatives. You will collaborate with both local and global teams to escalate issues and ensure smooth operations.
