What you'll do
As a Senior Systems Engineer at Amazon, you will play a pivotal role in the launch of the European Sovereign Cloud in 2025 — your responsibilities will include overseeing operations and development teams dedicated to delivering high-availability AWS services. You will collaborate with global AWS teams to ensure that the services meet the needs of EU customers.
You will be responsible for enhancing the day-to-day operations of the ESC — your focus will be on improving availability, reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency. You will work closely with technology leaders to identify opportunities for innovation and operational improvements.
Your role will involve influencing the evolution of AWS services and technology — you will leverage your expertise to guide the development of scalable services that align with customer expectations. You will ensure that the ESC delivers a high-availability experience for users across Europe.
You will lead initiatives that drive operational excellence — your ability to manage complex projects will be crucial in ensuring the successful launch of the ESC. You will be a key player in building a best-in-class development engineering and operations team that aligns with AWS' commitment to customer satisfaction.
