Who you are

You have 5-15+ years of software engineering experience implementing and maintaining critical security infrastructure. Your expertise includes building secure cloud environments and designing secure CI/CD pipelines. You are well-versed in threat modeling and risk assessment, ensuring that complex cloud environments remain secure. You have a strong understanding of IAM, network segmentation, and encryption controls, which are essential for safeguarding AI systems. You enjoy mentoring engineers and contributing to the growth of your team, fostering a culture of security awareness and best practices.

Desirable

Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices and GitOps workflows is a plus. Familiarity with container orchestration and Kubernetes security will help you excel in this role. You are passionate about creating secure-by-design workflows and have a track record of implementing robust security measures in large-scale environments.

What you'll do

In this role, you will build security for large-scale AI clusters, implementing a robust cloud security architecture that includes IAM, network segmentation, and encryption controls. You will design secure workflows and CI/CD pipelines across services, ensuring that security is integrated into every aspect of the development process. Your responsibilities will also include shipping and operating secure, high-reliability services using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices and GitOps workflows. You will apply your deep expertise in threat modeling and risk assessment to secure complex cloud environments, ensuring that Anthropic's AI systems are safe and beneficial for users.

You will collaborate closely with research and product teams to maintain the trust of users and society at large. Mentoring engineers and contributing to the hiring process will be part of your role, as you help grow the Security team and foster a culture of security excellence. You will be a key player in developing critical security infrastructure and building secure development practices that align with Anthropic's mission.
