Overview

Apple is hiring an AMS STA / Timing Engineer to act as the backend focal point for timing and constraints development. You'll work closely with RTL designers and Physical Designers in Munich. This role requires expertise in timing sign-off and SoC design.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in static timing analysis and are familiar with all aspects of SoC design. Your experience includes timing sign-off and the development of sign-off flows, ensuring high-quality timing constraints for full chip, IP, and block levels. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with RTL designers to understand design intent and clock structures. Your innovative mindset allows you to develop effective timing constraints and flows that facilitate timing closure and address potential issues in timing analysis.

You are detail-oriented and possess a deep understanding of timing requirements, both regular and custom. Your ability to collaborate with CAD teams enhances your understanding of flow development, ensuring that timing constraints are met efficiently. You are proactive in verifying your own timing constraints and are always looking for ways to improve processes and outcomes.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be a key member of the team in Munich, focusing on timing and constraints development for Analog Mixed Signal IPs. You will take ownership of timing sign-off processes, ensuring that all timing constraints are met from synthesis to sign-off. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with RTL designers to ensure that design intent is accurately captured and understood. You will also work closely with the Physical Design team to close and sign-off on timing, ensuring that all aspects of the design meet the required specifications.

You will innovate and develop timing constraints and flows that facilitate timely closure, addressing any potential pessimism or fallouts in timing analysis. Your contributions will be critical in delivering high-quality products that meet Apple's standards for excellence. You will be part of a dynamic team that values collaboration and innovation, and you will have the opportunity to work on groundbreaking technologies that shape the future of Apple products.

What we offer
