Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in CPU validation and silicon bring-up, with experience in developing test content and validation plans. Your expertise in C and C++ allows you to create software workloads that effectively stress test CPU features. You are familiar with Linux environments and have a keen eye for identifying logic design and circuit bugs.
You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with CPU RTL and DV teams to understand design changes and engineer comprehensive test content. Your problem-solving skills enable you to debug complex issues effectively, ensuring that all key features are covered in your validation efforts.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for creating CPU validation test plans and developing software workloads to stress test the CPU. You will integrate these workloads into existing validation environments, ensuring thorough coverage of new CPU features. Additionally, you will help maintain and improve the random test generator by adding support for new architectural and microarchitectural features.
You will drive the bring-up and execution of silicon validation tools in both pre-silicon (FPGAs) and post-silicon (development boards) environments. Your role will involve close collaboration with various teams to ensure that the validation process is efficient and effective, ultimately contributing to the successful launch of groundbreaking Apple products.
