Who you are
You have a solid background in CPU validation, with experience in developing test content and validation plans for complex CPU architectures. Your proficiency in C and C++ allows you to create efficient software workloads that stress test CPU features effectively. You are familiar with Linux environments and have a keen eye for debugging and problem-solving, ensuring that all key features are thoroughly validated.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams including CPU RTL and DV engineers to understand design changes and implement necessary test cases. Your attention to detail and methodical approach enable you to identify logic design and circuit bugs, contributing to the overall success of the chip design effort.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for creating CPU validation test plans that cover all essential features of our cutting-edge CPU designs. You will develop software workloads to stress test the CPU, integrating these into existing validation environments to ensure comprehensive coverage. Your work will involve maintaining and improving our random test generator, adding support for new architectural and microarchitectural features as they arise.
You will drive the bring-up and execution of silicon validation tools in both pre-silicon (FPGAs) and post-silicon (development boards) environments, ensuring that our validation processes are robust and effective. Your contributions will have a critical impact on delivering functional products to millions of customers, as you help identify and resolve potential issues early in the design process.
