Hardware Engineer • Lead

Who you are

You have a BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and at least 10 years of relevant industry experience — your expertise lies in power electronics for server system designs, and you possess a grounded understanding of server and rack-based designs. You have strong technical breadth across several computer subsystem technologies, including CPU, GPU, TPU, storage, memory, power delivery, and networking. Your ability to create, review, and approve engineering requirement specification documents is well-established, and you are capable of modeling and characterizing power systems effectively.

You have functional experience in defining power architecture solutions for complex server system designs deployed in datacenter applications — your background allows you to influence and drive new product designs in system power architecture and power management. You are comfortable leading cross-functional engineering teams and providing architectural guidance to establish new product definitions and requirements.

What you'll do

In this role, you will influence and drive new product designs in system power architecture and power management — your leadership will guide cross-functional engineering teams in establishing new product definitions and requirements. You will create system power architectures that not only meet performance, size, power, thermal, and cost goals but also surprise and delight customers. Your responsibilities will include providing architectural guidance and leadership, ensuring that all aspects of computer system design are considered.

You may be required to travel domestically and internationally occasionally, as you collaborate with various teams to ensure the successful implementation of power architecture solutions. Your role will be pivotal in advancing Apple's products and ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance and efficiency.
