Job Description
Who you are
You are a seasoned Physical Design technical leader with deep expertise in high-performance and low-power design. With at least 3 years of relevant industry experience, you have a proven track record in physical design implementation from RTL to GDS, including PnR, bump/RDL, and STA. Your strong interpersonal skills enable you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, driving methodologies and best-known methods to streamline physical design work.
You possess knowledge in partition level P&R implementation, including floorplanning, clock and power distribution, and timing closure. Your experience with large SoC designs, particularly those exceeding 20 million gates and operating at frequencies above 1GHz, showcases your ability to execute to stringent schedule and die size requirements. You are familiar with industry-standard tools and understand their capabilities and underlying algorithms, which allows you to tackle challenging timing closure issues and optimize area and power effectively.
What you'll do
In this highly visible role, you will be responsible for all aspects of physical design implementation, ensuring that physical design constraints are considered early in the design cycle. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop efficient chip and IP physical architecture. Your primary responsibilities will include driving methodologies and developing guidelines and checklists to enhance the physical design process.
You will serve as the primary technical contact for your focus area, motivated to solve complex timing closure issues while optimizing area and power. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring successful tapeouts in deep submicron technology, and you will be expected to lead efforts in physical verification and sign-off processes. You will also mentor junior engineers and contribute to the overall growth of the team.
